FX Series
For more flexibility and better customization options, you can turn to the AMCO FX series racks. These enclosures keep all network equipment working while preventing overheating. They can be used as a universal platform with the flexibility to configure specific design requirements with little or no custom modification. Mounting channels are included with the FX series frame. Our FX server cabinets have an open-frame design that allows air to flow through so that equipment doesn’t overheat. The shelves you choose are stationary, giving the server cabinet FX more stability.
Our AMCO FX series racks neatly integrate in the high-quality 35u rack enclosure, so you can customize it to fit virtually any job you need. Mounting Channels:
Mounting Channels
MX and MXL channels provide standard mounting options in 14 ga. CRS channels. Both the MX and MXL can be used with any standard FX Series frame width (19″ or 24″) and are available with standard EIA hole punching for clip nuts with either 12-24 or 10-32 thread.
The 11 ga. MXT and MXLT channels are drilled and tapped 10-32 on the panel-mounting flange. MXLA and MXWA are adapters used to provide a mounting flange for chassis or accessories. The 3.500″ long MXLA is used in combination with MXL channels. The 3.625″ long MXWA is used in combination with MXW channels. To order either adapter, specify part number MXLA or MXWA. Mounting hardware is included. All panel-mounting channels are zinc plated with clear chromate.
Panels:
Side Panels
Side panels are full-length and width and available in the same heights as the corresponding rack sizes. Side Panels mount to the exterior of the racks sides. Each FX series side panel adds 5/8th inch to the overall frame width. Available in your choice of lift-off or bolt down models (Please specify at time of order). Side Panels are available in your choice of 11 standard durable powder coat color finishes.
Top Panels
Top panels provide expanded options to address today’s cooling requirements. They also provide an additional level of security as they are bolted directly to the top of the rack.
Top panel with BTA10 fan includes one of each: BTA10 fans with 640 CFM per fan, 6’ power cord and external finger guards. The BTA10 fan impedes the top RU space of the rack.
Doors:
Face and Flush Doors
FX doors are available in both 19” and 24” panel widths in solid, louvered and polycarbonate models, in either face or flush mount options in the same heights as the corresponding racks.
- Polycarbonate doors feature a smoked finish to view mounted equipment with a closed door
- Face mount doors mount to the racks exterior surface
- Flush mount doors mount flush to the exterior of the frame

Shelves and Drawers:
Shelves
Stationary shelves are available in 19” and 24” models as solid, perforated and heavy-duty solid. Retractable shelves are available as solid or perforated. Shelves do not interfere with flush mount doors. Retractable shelves provide full extension with lock-out/disconnect features. All shelves are available in your choice of 11 standard durable powder coat color finishes.
Drawers
The AMCO standard drawer is available in 2RU, 4RU and 6RU heights, 19″ and 24″ widths, and in depths of 22″, 25.5″, 30″ and 36″. Drawers have a .625″ formed face which includes an aluminum handle and a keyed lock. Drawers add a finished look to the rack as they mount flush to the face of the frame. They have a 150 lb. load rating and are available in your choice of 11 standard durable powder coat color finishes.
The pull out writing surface drawer has a 1RU height, 19″ and 24″ widths and in depths of 22″, 25.5″, 30″ and 36″. This drawer includes a white laminate writing surface and comes with a lock-out mechanism for full extension. It includes an aluminum handle and a keyed lock. The writing surface drawer is available in your choice of 11 standard durable powder coat color finishes.

Fan Panels
AMCO fan panels are 4RU high (7.00″) and available with either a single or dual, 4″ radius, 115v, 100 CFM high flow fan. Fan panels feature a 6′ power cord and supplied with fans as intake but can be configured as exhaust. Panels are available in your choice of 11 standard durable powder coat color finishes.
Power:
Basic Power
12-outlet 115V/15-amp power strip for vertical mount or 6-outlet 115V/15-amp for horizontal mount is available. All power strips include a 10 ft. cord. Other power strips are available. Contact your local sales representative for more information.
Surge Protection Power
Surge protection power strips are ideal for smaller environments that don’t have protective surge suppression at the facility level, or just when additional protection is needed. Parallel circuitry keeps our Surge protection power strips working even if a surge or spike disables surge suppression.

Power
AMCO Enclosures understands the importance of power in today Rack environment. We offer a select grouping of standard vertical and horizontal 15A and 20A power strips for typical day to day designs. We can also provide metered, monitored, switched satellite PDU’s and environmental units – in expanded 30A -120A models. A variety of cord lengths are available as well as other options.

Base Plate
AMCO base plates are available in two widths and three frame depths, in a solid plate that bolts to the enclosure base for optimal effectiveness. The exterior of the base plate is available in 11 standard colors and the interior of the panel features a yellow or clear (RoHS compliant) plated finish.
Enclosure Panels
Flat steel enclosure panels are available in a variety of RU heights for 19″ and 24″ panel opening widths. In order to maintain shielding seal, a panel spacer must be used between adjoining panels to maintain attenuation. Enclosure panels are available in 11 standard colors on the exterior and the interior of the panel features a yellow or clear (RoHS compliant) plated finish.
Chassis Guides
Chassis guides have a 2″ H x 2″ W profile. The flanges support component-mounted hardware in a minimal profile. Chassis guides support 125 lbs.
